Product Info
Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet is a highly regarded winery from the Côte de Beaune, located in Burgundy's prestigious Montrachet region. The house is renowned for its pure, complex white wines with great aging potential, made from old, low-yielding vines, especially those grown in the appellation's legendary Grand Cru vineyards, with Montrachet being its flagship label.
Grape Variety: Chardonnay
Region: Chassagne Montrachet
Tasting Notes: Brilliant straw-yellow color with golden reflections. The nose reveals great elegance and aromatic depth, with notes of ripe citrus, pear, green apple, and white peach, enveloped by delicate floral nuances of acacia and honeysuckle. There are also hints of hazelnut, fresh almond, subtle butter, and a marked minerality, typical of the great terroirs of Chassagne-Montrachet. On the palate, it presents an excellent balance between richness and freshness. The texture is creamy and enveloping, supported by a vibrant acidity that gives precision and energy to the whole. Flavors of white fruit and citrus linger harmoniously, accompanied by discrete notes of vanilla and fine toast from wood aging. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent, leaving a mineral and saline impression of great distinction. A high-class Burgundy white, capable of providing pleasure from a young age, but with structure and complexity to evolve favorably in the bottle for several years.
Alcohol Content: 13.5% Vol.
